Better Living Homecare is a Nurse-led and family-run homecare company. We are an HSE-approved provider of home care services, headquartered in Trim, Co. Meath and our team of over 80 exceptional Healthcare Assistants have been delivering home care to Clients in Counties Meath and Kildare for over 5 years. We are now hiring a Care Manager/Nurse Manager to be based in County Meath to augment our team.
The successful candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:
- Engagement with clients, their families, clinicians, public health nurses and HSE Home Support Teams to develop a bespoke care plan for each client
- Actively manage the care of each client through engagement with Healthcare Assistants and the clients/their families and periodic spot checks on care calls
- Management, supervision and mentoring of a team of Healthcare Assistants
- Assist with the recruitment of new Healthcare Assistants
- Lead by example with regard to implementation of all the company’s policies and procedures and ensure all Carers are following the policies and procedures
- Provide emergency care cover where necessary
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement and improvement of the quality of services provided to clients
The successful candidate should have:
- Ambition and energy
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role in a healthcare environment
- Appropriate qualifications – preferably a qualified Nurse. Whilst our services do not include the provision of medical diagnostic or medical intervention services, our ethos is that we are Nurse-led and therefore our preference is that this leadership role is filled by a qualified Nurse
- Demonstrable client management skills and people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
Experience in a similar role is very desirable. The role can be either full-time or part-time and will report to our Nursing Director

The remuneration package will reflect the level of experience and qualifications that a candidate brings to the role
